Working conditions survey
If you haven’t yet, please take five minutes to share how this school year has been going for you. We are especially interested in hearing what you think can (or should) be done to address the current workload issues across the district.
Your elected JCEA board members will be presenting top-line data, trends, and possible solutions to the board of education on December 9th during the study session.
New Board of Education members sworn in
On behalf of JCEA leadership, we welcome Jeffco‘s newly elected school board members who were officially sworn in on Nov. 29th: Danielle Varda (District 1), Paula Reed (District 2), and Mary Parker (District 5). We are looking forward to JCEA members meaningfully engaging with all five Jeffco BOE members to move Jeffco forward!
All-call for liaisons to Board of Education members
Similar to the CEA/JCEA Legislative Liaison program, the JCEA Political Action Team (PAT) is developing a Board of Education Liaison program. The PAT is looking for members who want to be a part of a team that engages in regular conversations with school board members.
Training, guidance, and support will be provided by JCEA leaders and staff. Liaison teams will act as representatives of Jeffco educators, their issues, needs, and concerns.
The overall time commitment for BOE liaisons is an average of four hours a month. If you are interested in being a liaison to your school’s BOE member, follow this link (https://bit.ly/2022_BOE_liaison), submit the form, and a member of the JCEA PAT or staff will reach out to you with follow-up steps.
