Ballots are coming! Ballots will start to be mailed to voters TODAY. To register to vote or check your status at the Colorado Secretary of State website. Do you need pro-public education recommendations? Visit the link for the voter guide below. The guide will give you custom recommendations based on your address, so if you don’t live in Jeffco, it’s no problem!

With under a month until Election Day, it’s vital educators volunteer and take action. We know that in order for public education advocates to get elected and bad ballot measures defeated, we need to talk to voters. There are a number of upcoming volunteer events including an event tomorrow, and the clock is ticking to make sure our students and public schools WIN on November 5th! Professional Growth Funds

Are you interested in attending a conference to continue your professional learning? Apply for Jeffco’s professional growth funds! You can be awarded up to $500 for registration costs and two sub days.The application is currently open for conferences between December and March, and the deadline to apply is November 20! More funds will be available for additional application windows throughout the year! Go here to apply or for more information!

Contest! Design a shirt!

Members! We are looking for new designs for our JCEA online swag shop and want to feature YOUR design. JCEA is hosting a t-shirt design contest and we need members like you to get creative.

Artwork Criteria:

• Art must be received in either of our preferred formats – Adobe Illustrator files are preferred, but we can also work with high-resolution PDFs
• The art should be a single color design, which will be printed on the t-shirt color of your choice from this list. For examples, see the designs in our online shop.
• Must incorporate a union and/ or JCEA theme. The JCEA logo is available for you to incorporate into your design (png file, eps file) but will be added to the winning design if it is not already included in your original design.

The contest opens now and will end at 8:00am on Monday, October 21. The winner of the contest will have their design featured in our online store, receive a free shirt with their design, and receive a shout out on our JCEA social media (plus your colleagues can wear your design!). All designs must be submitted to this form (also linked at the button below) to be considered for the contest.

California Casualty’s Thomas R. Brown Athletics Grant program is back and will award $1,000 grants for middle and high school athletics programs.  Apply Today for this very popular association member benefit!  Applications for this year will be accepted through January 15, 2025.

Fall Bargaining and Organizing Conference
