Hello Fellow JCEA Members,

Hello Fellow JCEA Members,

I’m so honored to be your new JCEA President.

This honor still hasn’t fully hit home, but I want to thank all of you who helped me along the way and continued to believe in me. I would also like to thank Ang Anderson for being a strong opponent and hope she will continue fighting along our side for the rights of our students, educators, and building a stronger association. I have learned so much through this process. I want to ensure you that your voices matter a great deal to me, and I will not forget the conversations I have had with many of you. I’m excited for the work we will accomplish together in building a better JeffCo and bringing positive changes in public education for the well being of our students and educators even in these turbulent times.

It is in these difficult times we must continue to Stand Together and Win Together to give our students the education they deserve. Thank you for the work you do everyday and your work to build a better future for our students.

Right now, I will continue my work on the bargaining team. As a team we are working with district management to ensure the health and rights of our students and educators remain a priority in remote learning. We are also exploring how we can continue public bargaining with social distancing. Beginning this week John Ford and I will begin the transition process and training for my new role. Thank you again, and know I’m always here to fight for you.

In Solidarity,

Brooke Williams

JCEA President Elect
